But of course I wouldn't say no to a native version for macOS ) All in all, very satified! Still, even in that case it is much nicer to use than the alternatives available for macOS. The only "serious" complaint I have right now is that it does not have a version for macOS, which is an issue since I switched away from Windows, so I have to use VM in order to use it. A bunch of features are locked behind a paywall but to me they are worth the yearly charge, but I understand that not everyone likes that, especially since "Free" is in the name. Lots of features got added ever since I started using it years ago. There is a gigantic set of features that is basically all I need, highly customisable too. It's a shame I haven't seen more editors work that way. and this is to me still the most intuitive way there could be. I especially like how you can just drag elements around, resize, group, rotate etc. I've tried a lot of video editors, but this one is the one I prefer the most. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns. It appears you accepted them without thoroughly reviewing the terms, which cannot be attributed to any fault on our part. Users can choose to accept or decline the Terms of Use upon installation. The free version allows full control over paid features during the preview phase, as emphasized in our Terms of Agreement. We believe in providing users with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with our PRO features before purchasing. The button already occupies approximately one-third of the window for visibility and accessibility. Additionally, during the export stage, a window is displayed, highlighting all the paid features that have been applied and explaining that exporting will exclude these features if the user clicks "Continue." We understand your concern about the "Continue" button's size, and we will consider your feedback for future updates. If a user applies one of these PRO features in the free version, a warning pop-up window appears in the lower left corner, notifying them of the limitation. In regards to the issue you mentioned, it's important to note that all our paid features are clearly listed on our website. Hello, we apologize for the inconvenience you're facing and appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. The program does actually have a lot of powerful features, though, so if you're willing to take on the steep learning curve then it may be worth a look.Reply from VSDC Free Video Editor Jul 21, 2023 Unintuitive, awkward to use and lacking in documentation, it'll take a while to learn VSDC Free Video Editor. If you're more used to conventional video editors, though, it may take some time: the program is far from straightforward. Things do improve when you start to understand the VSDC Free Video Editor approach, and there are so many options and features here that it may be worth persevering. And there's no local help for any of this, so it's off to the inadequate website documentation if you need any assistance. There's a ribbon, Project and Objects Explorers, various editing toolbars, multiple timelines, a properties window, a resources window, a menu, various right-click options, and more. The confusion continues elsewhere, thanks in part to a very busy interface. You can display them, but they can't be rearranged as you might expect, because this is a "non-linear" editor and, well, works differently. They're concealed as part of a "scene" and don't appear by default. Import the clips anyway and you'd expect to see them on a timeline, but you don't. But you can't rearrange the clips into the order you need, first, which really isn't. You can add your transition effects here, which is good. It might be hard to believe this at first, though, because the odd interface makes the program less than easy to use.īy default it'll start by asking you to import all your clips, for instance, and these appear in a wizard. Wide file format support means the program can accept most audio and video formats, as well as many still image types.Īnd when you're done you can author videos for a range of device types (iPod/iPhone/iPad, PSP, Sony PlayStation, Xbox, Zune, Archos, iRiver, Creative Zen, Blackberry and more), as well as burning your movie directly to DVD. And there are options to apply blur or sharpen filters, flip or rotate clips, tweak audio, add captions and more. You can tweak colours, brightness, contrast, levels and more in a range of ways. The program comes with a host of transition effects, for instance. VSDC Free Video Editor is a surprisingly powerful, if unconventional video editor.
